Hot Off The Spectrum

TLDR of the News to Inform Your Moves (Monday was a lot. Even my post is long)

What’s up sluts. I’m back with another burst of autism. I’ve been Rick fuggin Rollin in the tendies (AKA not hemorrhaging money) and these posts have been fairly accurate. I’ll be adding plays to the NostraLosses section as a result to bring more clarity to my dumbass takes.
FIRST THINGS FUCKING FIRST THE ORIGINAL AUTIST ARTIST WHO DREW THE OLD LOGO HAS COME TO LIGHT IM SO FUCKING HAPPY. We’ll never get it back, but sometimes closure on it’s own feels good enough. What am I a fucking teenager? The rest of the sub was shit yesterday/this morning.I was shadowbanned for posting “Fear mongering Corona Content,” and yet 75% of the sub’s hot posts are exactly that but with even less info than I had. Rest is memes. No plays or info. Honestly kinda sad.

Obligatory Corona Dump (Monday news could not stop throating COVID content)
Things are in such a Twilight Zone State Amazon is getting credit for being “altruistic,” like they didn’t hike up prices since late January themselves and only altered their practices once Trump threatened Defense Production Act (DPA) notice they’re also only suspending, so once things are just slightly back to normal please price gouge errthang.
https://www.scmp.com/tech/big-tech/article/3076638/amazon-suspends-almost-4000-seller-accounts-unfairly-priced-products
Costco is also getting unwarranted credit. They won’t take back your tower of toilet paper or tub of hand sanitizer, which COSTS them money they already made. Did they have any problem hiking the price, refusing to limit sales per person, not give their employees PPE, or donate any relief from their excess food products due to banning eating at the location and numbers going down? Nah? ok. So the good guy is the company that profited off of fear and won’t provide the minimum financial relief to those who thought it was that extreme. Stop demonizing your fellow worker citizens.

Companies getting high praise and both articles implying a return to normalcy soon. How does that affect the markets? Normies are being told everything is okay and they will follow suit. Is everything okay? Absolutely not. These MFs in charge just announced unlimited QE yesterday nothing’s okay financially. Retard normie pump coming in.
Financial News:
Trump is saying that unless 10,000 die in the streets soon he’s gonna “re-open” the economy after the 15 days. At this point it’s a bit of a walking Onion article. Thursday?” ITS A WAR WE WILL CAPTURE AND KNIFE COVID’S ASSHOLE”. Friday? “This is serious. I do not want to use any drastic measures but I will. This is very verry serious.” Monday? “Isn’t being stuck inside fucking wack? Let’s open the pit up bro” I recommend watching the video with subtitles to get a transcript of his speech patterns.

I predicted the Fed couldn’t devalue the dollar as fast as other countries could want it and it seems to be holding up. A very small dip from the news they’re willing to print unlimited moneys? The global economy is in trouble if that's still the stability bearer. Puts are lookin good, but they need to be farther out. 04/17 soonest for my comfort. Especially with the temporary re-open of the US economy. Seeing Reuters use “money bazooka,’ multiple times in the last week has been fantastic.

Italy’s debt, tax, and unemployment relief are all being held up by congressional disputes and an ability to only handle a tenth of the paperwork that comes in. Sound familiar? Maybe ominous? The population density in regions of Italy is our closest analog to how a free (eat my dick South Korea) country is gonna get hit. Their healthcare system is also tainted by for-profit companies and insurance so it’s also pretty similar medical coverage wise per capita.

United Airlines is threatening to fire workers if they don’t get a bailout. I hope to fuck this is the tipping point and the government forces United to hand over their payroll list so the gov. Provide financial relief to their employees while United liquidates their assets or sells to some Saudi Conglomerate. Effect on market? PUTS ON UNITED BITCH THEY GOIN OUT
https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/03/20/819401028/united-airlines-threatens-to-cut-jobs-if-coronavirus-aid-package-isnt-passed (From 03/20 but was drowned out by other news. Looks more and more likely airlines won’t be bailed out)
Everyday Fox business posts something for Boomers to buy more Ford or Dine stocks (idk what old people buy) and today they have some good ammo. Overnight futures were up. Pre-market today as of 06:31 EST is $234.72 after touching 238. Looks like today is going to be the bull trap day as the rumors of stimulus are hot again. If it gets passed I expect a 245-248 top before the unemployment numbers Thursday fist everyone. Market effect? Short term calls as everyone gets high on optimism and long term puts for when they come down.
https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/stock-futures-gain-ground-as-congress-moves-closer-to-a-stimulus-deal
Crypto is taking off after tanking yesterday. Overnight rally (NZ markets followed by Asian markets) carried it up 14% in the last 16 hours. It started to rise slowly after the QE announcement but really flew overnight and this morning. Cooling off now but already had a dip to 6650 and right back up to 6700+ While not always correlated, crypto is a key indicator right now in speculative confidence while people are budgeting for maintaining their lives versus increasing their future wealth. No link because every crypto site is owned by a Ponzi schemer. Fight me and my tinfoil fucking hat. Here are some squigglies and bars
https://www.tradingview.com/symbols/BTCUSD/?exchange=BITBAY
My NostraLosses Prediction? The rumors of stimulus and the passed unlimited QE will provide market optimism today and tomorrow. Thursday’s unemployment numbers is the next scheduled big news so I wouldn’t get any short term puts unless scalping. If anything unexpected news could bring the market even higher with it being random good news versus any random catastrophic news. Market open will be up about 6% from the previous day’s close, so I expect a short term dip at open which would be a good spot to get quick calls to then ride the pump. Market closes above 235 and if stimulus passes along with more false optimism statements by Trump there’s possibly a sharp bull run to 245-248 by end of Wednesday.
Plays to follow:
SPY: 240c 03/27 once the first dip of day happens. If your bankroll allows for a few days farther out I would go for it. If SPY does hit 240, SELL call and BUY put for 228 04/01 at soonest.
DIA: 190P 04/17 It hasn’t fallen nearly as hard as it should (another 5% imo) and the industries making it up are going to have numbers showing how bad the payroll cuts and profit loss has been. During today’s pump get some not so fucking expensive puts (made sure not to say cheap)
Any Stupid Tech Company: Retarded OTM call for 03/27 or later. With so many people being stuck at home the last week or so the tech companies are outperforming the market with the idea that: The high user rate means more $$$, but if there’s more people on because they are not working or laid off, how do they have the money to buy shitty sponsored products on their feed? The kicker here is ads have always had near useless efficacy rates on social media so the fact they will continue to do a shit job might not change much. Anyway people are fucking dumb and tech gonna continue to rally this week. Signed, someone with 1.5k in TWTR Puts expiring over next 4 weeks.
Most people don’t even give you one play. I’m giving you multiple ways to lose your money.
TLDR of my TLDR: Companies who profited off the crisis getting karma points for no reason. Normies think the crisis will be over next Friday. International currencies are still erratic but the markets are rallying today globally (sign of lacking underlying stability for said rally). Italy can’t pass anything or handle the paperwork from their previously set up process (AKA USA in 7-10 days under current stimulus proposals) and they don’t have a solution in sight. Stimulus has everyone rock hard for calls again, ride the short term rise and pick up puts while you’re up there. Just be a long term gay bear experimenting with bulls depending on the day.
Results on my thoughts from last post 03/23: I was incorrect on circuit breaker open but was only 1% away and it did run up mid-day as called. So if you sold at 218 to buy calls to sell a few hours later, we nailed it boys. If you were aiming for price instead of time, it never hit 234 again which was a key test and you’re likely sitting on a fat red option right now. I was about half right which is all you need to be. I’ve also switched up Market affect and effect because I’m retarded and am unsure which is right anymore. Nvm grammarly fixed it.
And again, I mean this sincerely,

How my friend's new boyfriend recruited her into the cult called imarketslive

I've been noticing my friends back in my hometown are getting into financial based MLMs. One of them have gotten way too into it that she moved to a different state with her new boyfriend who's involved in imarketslive for 5-6 years.
A little bit of back story, when we were in elementary to middle school, our families were involved in a ponzi scheme. It was later resolved and sent the three head honchos to jail for 20 years each. While that was happening, her mom was involved in an MLM.
Before this new bf (let's call him Fred) showed up in her (Chelsea) life, she was in a 4 year relationship with Justin. I hung out with them quite frequently when I had vacation from university. Both were also students though different schools. They did not have the best relationship. They constantly argued especially since Justin has some anger management issues and Chelsea claims to have OCD (I think she has high anxiety at least). They would hit each other and Justin would emotionally abuse Chelsea. For example, he would go on the side of the read to threaten his own life by running into the freeway. Chelsea would feel trapped and couldn't fully express herself without Justin getting angry.
Despite this abusive relationship, they made great sacrifices to be together like commuting 1-2hrs to school to live together. They were not financially stable. Justin would spend a lot on anime stuff and Chelsea would go out a lot. Eventually, they decided to join AMWAY which we all know is not a good idea. Anyway, Chelsea always wanted to have her own business so she dropped out of uni to dedicate her time in being a waitress and a "business owner".
Finally after 4 years, she broke up with him and Amway. I thought things were going well for her and she even said she wanted to go back to school. Until... she met this new piece of shit. When I first met Fred (they only dated for a week at this point), I thought he was just a chill dude who had positive energy. Just like a good friend does, after I hung out with Chelsea and Fred I snooped into his Facebook and saw he was part of a financial MLM called imarketslive (IML). The worst part was that I saw he tagged Chelsea in a IML convention in Las Vegas. So I thought, "oh shit, she's part of ANOTHER MLM". And likewise, I told her in person the next day that she's part of a pyramid scheme. Then her response truly disturbed me.
Chelsea responded, "everything is a pyramid scheme. This what makes me happy".
🤢🤢🤢
You know I was so shocked. I just responded.. "okay, as long as you're happy. I just wanted to watch out for you".
The conversation about IML ended there. My other friends and my parents told me not to convince her that it's a bad idea because she's attached to this new guy.
This is what I observed about Fred based on his social media accounts. He is painfully positive. Like he gets preachy about positivity. He does facebook lives to tell people to achieve their dreams by getting wealthy. Because apparently, everyone's dream is just to get a lot of money. Not saying that's wrong at all (hell, I want to be rich too). He also is into those motivational speakers especially if they are involved with IML like Les Brown. He believes that forex trading/crypto exchange can help change people's lives. He tries to sell IML's overpriced apps ($200+ a month). And of course with everything fucking MLM, he uses these emojis 😜💥🤔👌🔥💯 and takes them seriously.
So why is my friend dating him? Well, she thinks that Fred is a hard working person with a stupid smile. He also recruited her and now she is an "entrepreneur" #BOSSBABE. After dating for like 4 months, they moved to Arizona to spread the fucking "message" about IML.
Now they have a large group of people they work with. They always host talks about how IML is a "family" but weirdly never about Forex trading or crypto exchange. They workout and go to church together. They do everything together which is weird. Chelsea claims she's finding herself but really she's in this cult and behaves like everyone else.
I think one of the grossest aspects about IML is how they exploit minorities and encourage them to "flex" or have a luxurious lifestyle. I saw on her snapchat about a recent convention in Dallas and most people were Hispanic, African-Americans or Southeast Asian (like her and I). Most of the higher-ups that were speaking were either those races and had some wort of branded luxury accessory like a Gucci belt. Fred has these Gucci slip-on sneakers and that's about it. It also seems like the group of people Fred and Chelsea are always with try to humble brag about how they used to be poor and now they claim to make 6 figures.
Now, Fred and Chelsea constantly post about positive quotes and financial stability advice (lmao). I don't reach out to Chelsea anymore because I do not agree with her lifestyle and I am a non-believer in IML and God. So apparently, I am a negative force. I've known her for 14 years and she became a completely different person because of this stupid cult-like MLM. She used to think things through properly, but I think after her abusive ex she thinks Fred is her light and soul.

TLDR; My friend was involved with Amway with and abusive ex and dropped out of school. Broke up and started to live her life again. Met a douche-bag 6 months later who recruited her to imarketslive which caused them to move to Arizona to recruit more people and be more into the cult-like MLM. She doesn't want to talk to me anymore because I do not agree with IML.

There has been much discussion of late regarding borker spreads and liquidity. Many assumptions are being made about why spreads are widened during news time that are built on an incomplete knowledge of the architecture of the forex market in general. The purpose of this article is to dissect the market and hopefully shed some light on the situation so that a more rational and productive discussion can be undertaken by the Forex Factory members.
We will begin with an explanation of the purpose of the Forex market and how it is utilized by its primary participants, expand into the structure and operation of the market, and conclude with the implications of this information for speculators. With that having been said, let us begin.
Unlike the various bond and equity markets, the Forex market is not generally utilized as an investment medium. While speculation has a critical role in its proper function, the lion’s share of Forex transactions are done as a function of international business.
The guy who buys a shiny new Eclipse more then likely will pay for it with US Dollars. Unfortunately Mitsubishi’s factory workers in Japan need to get their paychecks denominated in Yen, so at some point a conversion needs to be made. When one considers that companies like Exxon, Boeing, Sony, Dell, Honda, and thousands of other international businesses move nearly every dollar, real, yen, rubble, pound, and euro they make in a foreign country through the Forex market, it isn’t hard to understand how insignificant the speculative presence is; even in a $2tril per day market.
By and large, businesses don’t much care about the intricacies of exchange rates, they just want to make and sell their products. As a central repository of a company’s money, it was only natural that the banks would be the facilitators of these transactions. In the old days it was easy enough for a bank to call a foreign bank (or a foreign branch of ones own bank) and swap the stockpiles of currency each had accumulated from their many customers.
Just as any business would, the banks bought the foreign currency at one rate and marked it up before selling it to the customer. With that the foreign exchange spread was born. This was (and still is) a reasonable cost of doing business. Mitsubishi can pay its customers and the banks make a nice little profit for the hassle and risks associated with moving around the currency.
As a byproduct of transacting all this business, bank traders developed the ability to speculate on the future of currency rates. Utilizing a better understanding of the market, a bank could quote a business a spread on the current rate but hold off hedging until a better one came along. This process allowed the banks to expand their net income dramatically. The unfortunate consequence was that liquidity was redistributed in a way that made certain transactions impossible to complete.
It was for this reason and this reason alone that the market was eventually opened up to non-bank participants. The banks wanted more orders in the market so that a) they could profit from the less experienced participants, and b) the less experienced participants could provide a better liquidity distribution for execution of international business hedge orders. Initially only megacap hedge funds (such as Soros’s and others) were permitted, but it has since grown to include the retail brokerages and ECNs.

Market Structure:
Now that we have established why the market exists, let’s take a look at how the transactions are facilitated:
The top tier of the Forex market is transacted on what is collectively known as the Interbank. Contrary to popular belief the Interbank is not an exchange; it is a collection of communication agreements between the world’s largest money center banks.
To understand the structure of the Interbank market, it may be easier to grasp by way of analogy. Consider that in an office (or maybe even someone’s home) there are multiple computers connected via a network cable. Each computer operates independently of the others until it needs a resource that another computer possesses. At that point it will contact the other computer and request access to the necessary resource. If the computer is working properly and its owner has given the requestor authorization to do so, the resource can be accessed and the initiating computers request can be fulfilled. By substituting computers for banks and resources for currency, you can easily grasp the relationships that exist on the Interbank.
Anyone who has ever tried to find resources on a computer network without a server can appreciate how difficult it can be to keep track of who has what resources. The same issue exists on the Interbank market with regard to prices and currency inventory. A bank in Singapore may only rarely transact business with a company that needs to exchange some Brazilian Real and it can be very difficult to establish what a proper exchange rate should be. It is for this purpose that EBS and Reuters (hereafter EBS) established their services.
Layered on top (in a manner of speaking) of the Interbank communication links, the EBS service enables banks to see how much and at what prices all the Interbank members are willing to transact. Pains should be taken to express that EBS is not a market or a market maker; it is an application used to see bids and offers from the various banks.
The second tier of the market exists essential within each bank. By calling your local Bank of America branch you can exchange any foreign currency you would like. More then likely they will just move some excess currency from one branch to another. Since this is a micro-exchange with a single counterparty, you are basically at their mercy as to what exchange rate they will quote you. Your choice is to accept their offer or shop a different bank. Everyone who trades the forex market should visit their bank at least once to get a few quotes. It would be very enlightening to see how lucrative these transactions really are.
Branching off of this second tier is the third tier retail market. When brokers like Oanda, Forex.com, FXCM, etc. desire to establish a retail operation the first thing they need is a liquidity provider. Nine in ten of these brokers will sign an agreement with just one bank. This bank will agree to provide liquidity if and only if they can hedge it on EBS inclusive of their desired spread. Because the volume will be significantly higher a single bank patron will transact, the spreads will be much more competitive. By no means should it be expected these tier 3 providers will be quoted precisely what exists on the Interbank. Remember the bank is in the business of collecting spreads and no agreement is going to suspend that priority.
Retail forex is almost akin to running a casino. The majority of its participants have zero understanding how to trade effectively and as a result are consistent losers. The spread system combined with a standard probability distribution of returns gives the broker a built in house advantage of a few percentage points. As a result, they have all built internal order matching systems that play one loser off against a winner and collect the spread. On the occasions when disequilibrium exists within the internal order book, the broker hedges any exposure with their tier 2 liquidity provider.
As bad as this may sound, there are some significant advantages for speculators that deal with them. Because it is an internal order book, many features can be provided which are otherwise unavailable through other means. Non-standard contract sizes, high leverage on tiny account balances, and the ability to transact in a commission free environment are just a few of them…
An ECN operates similar to a Tier 2 bank, but still exists on the third tier. An ECN will generally establish agreements with several tier 2 banks for liquidity. However instead of matching orders internally, it will just pass through the quotes from the banks, as is, to be traded on. It’s sort of an EBS for little guys. There are many advantages to the model, but it is still not the Interbank. The banks are going to make their spread or their not go to waste their time. Depending on the bank this will take the form of price shading or widened spreads depending on market conditions. The ECN, for its trouble, collects a commission on each transaction.
Aside from the commission factor, there are some other disadvantages a speculator should consider before making the leap to an ECN. Most offer much lower leverage and only allow full lot transactions. During certain market conditions, the banks may also pull their liquidity leaving traders without an opportunity to enter or exit positions at their desired price.

Trade Mechanics:
It is convenient to believe that in a $2tril per day market there is always enough liquidity to do what needs to be done. Unfortunately belief does not negate the reality that for every buyer there MUST be a seller or no transaction can occur. When an order is too large to transact at the current price, the price moves to the point where open interest is abundant enough to cover it. Every time you see price move a single pip, it means that an order was executed that consumed (or otherwise removed) the open interest at the current price. There is no other way that prices can move.
As we covered earlier, each bank lists on EBS how much and at what price they are willing to transact a currency. It is important to note that no Interbank participant is under any obligation to make a transaction if they do not feel it is in their best interest. There are no “market makers” on the Interbank; only speculators and hedgers.
Looking at an ECN platform or Level II data on the stock market, one can get a feel for what the orders on EBS look like. The following is a sample representation:
You’ll notice that there is open interest (Level II Vol figures) of various sizes at different price points. Each one of those units represents existing limit orders and in this example, each unit is $1mil in currency.
Using this information, if a market sell order was placed for 38.4mil, the spread would instantly widen from 2.5 pips to 4.5 pips because there would no longer be any orders between 1.56300 and 1.56345. No broker, market maker, bank, or thief in the night widened the spread; it was the natural byproduct of the order that was placed. If no additional orders entered the market, the spread would remain this large forever. Fortunately, someone somewhere will deem a price point between those 2 figures an appropriate opportunity to do something and place an order. That order will either consume more interest or add to it, depending whether it is a market or limit order respectively.
What would have happened if someone placed a market sell order for 2mil just 1 millisecond after that 38.4 mil order hit? They would have been filled at 1.5630 Why were they “slipped”? Because there was no one to take the other side of the transaction at 1.56320 any longer. Again, nobody was out screwing the trader; it was the natural byproduct of the order flow.
A more interesting question is, what would happen if all the listed orders where suddenly canceled? The spread would widen to a point at which there were existing bids and offers. That may be 5,7,9, or even 100 pips; it is going to widen to whatever the difference between a bid and an offer are. Notice that nobody came in and “set” the spread, they just refused to transact at anything between it.
Nothing can be done to force orders into existence that don’t exist. Regardless what market is being examined or what broker is facilitating transactions, it is impossible to avoid spreads and slippage. They are a fact of life in the realm of trading.

Implications for speculators:
Trading has been characterized as a zero sum game, and rightly so. If trader A sells a security to trader B and the price goes up, trader A lost money that they otherwise could have made. If it goes down, Trader A made money from trader B’s mistake. Even in a huge market like the Forex, each transaction must have a buyer and a seller to make a trade and one of them is going to lose. In the general realm of trading, this is materially irrelevant to each participant. But there are certain situations where it becomes of significant importance. One of those situations is a news event.
Much has been made of late about how it is immoral, illegal, or downright evil for a broker, bank, or other liquidity provider to withdraw their order (increasing the spread) and slip orders (as though it was a conscious decision on their part to do so) more then normal during these events. These things occur for very specific reasons which have nothing to do with screwing anyone. Let us examine why:
Leading up to an economic report for example, certain traders will enter into positions expecting the news to go a certain way. As the event becomes immanent, the banks on the Interbank will remove their speculative orders for fear of taking unnecessary losses. Technical traders will pull their orders as well since it is common practice for them to avoid the news. Hedge funds and other macro traders are either already positioned or waiting until after the news hits to make decisions dependent on the result.
Knowing what we now know, where is the liquidity necessary to maintain a tight spread coming from?
Moving down the food chain to Tier 2; a bank will only provide liquidity to an ECN or retail broker if they can instantly hedge (plus their requisite spread) the positions on Interbank. If the Interbank spreads are widening due to lower liquidity, the bank is going to have to widen the spreads on the downstream players as well.
At tier 3 the ECN’s are simply passing the banks offers on, so spreads widen up to their customers. The retailers that guarantee spreads of 2 to 5 pips have just opened a gaping hole in their risk profile since they can no longer hedge their net exposure (ever wonder why they always seem to shut down or requote until its over?). The variable spread retailers in turn open up their spreads to match what is happening at the bank or they run into the same problems fixed spreads broker are dealing with.
Now think about this situation for a second. What is going to happen when a number misses expectations? How many traders going into the event with positions chose wrong and need to get out ASAP? How many hedge funds are going to instantly drop their macro orders? How many retail traders’ straddle orders just executed? How many of them were waiting to hear a miss and executed market orders?
With the technical traders on the sidelines, who is going to be stupid enough to take the other side of all these orders?
The answer is no one. Between 1 and 5 seconds after the news hits it is a purely a 1 way market. That big long pin bar that occurs is a grand total of 2 prices; the one before the news hit and the one after. The 10, 20, or 30 pips between them is called a gap.
Is it any wonder that slippage is in evidence at this time?

Conclusions:
Each tier of the Forex market has its own inherent advantages and disadvantages. Depending on your priorities you have to make a choice between what restrictions you can live with and those you cant. Unfortunately, you can’t always get what you want.
By focusing on slippage and spreads, which are the natural byproduct of order flow, one is not only pursuing a futile ideal, they are passing up an enormous opportunity to capitalize on true inefficiencies. News events are one of the few times where a large number of players are positioned inappropriately and it is fairly easy to profit from their foolishness. If a trader truly wants to make the leap to the next level of profitability they should be spending their time figuring out how identify these positions and trading with the goal of capturing the price movement they inevitably will cause.
Nobody is going to make the argument that a broker is a trader’s best friend, but they still provide a valuable service and should be compensated for their efforts. By accepting a broker for what it is and learning how to work within the limitations of the relationship, traders have access to a world of opportunity that they otherwise could never dream of capturing. Let us all remember that simple truth.

Understanding the Bolsonaro Phenomenon, by a brazilian

Someone asked about Bolsonaro in a recent thread and I wrote a walltext about it. I tried to give some context that is difficult to get if you are not a brazilian. If you guys have no interest in reading about it, just let the thread sink with downvotes. Here it goes:

PART ONE:
We had a fucking hyperinflation in the 80's provoked by a stupid developmentalist economic agenda promoted by the military regime. After the end of the military regime, we tried to fix things up, without success. In 1994, the social democrats gathered smart economists and reformed our finances (building forex reserves, implementing floating exchange rate, and other things, I'm not an economist).

In 2002, the Worker's Party changed their approach in the elections and pretended to be social democrats instead of the crazy commies they were. And they won since the social democrats lose power and credibility. They displeased the radical members of the party and adhered to the successful macroeconomic policies inherited from the previous government. At the same time, China's economy started to grow like crazy, and we get rich by selling beef, soy, iron, and many other commodities. Our dumb population (84 IQ points average) thought this economic growth was created by the effort of the president, Lula. So, he got re-elected, and also his successor (the dumbest people to become a president in the world ever) was also elected and re-elected.

During the regime of the Worker's Party, we've seen the biggest corruption scandals in the history of humanity. In the late years of Lula as president, and during the rule of his successor, China stopped growing at that high rate and the world saw a huge financial crisis. We then abandoned the orthodox economic policies and started to implement a stupid developmentalist economic agenda that lead us to the biggest bankruptcy seen in our history.

The dumb bitch (Dilma) got kicked out of his position in 2016, and a center-wing party got in charge. They tried to revert our economic doomsday scenario, and were quite successful at it, as they saved our oil company from bankruptcy. But they couldn't do everything they could do due lack of political power.

Another thing important to mention is that, under WP's government, we started to suck Cuba's/Venezuela's/Angola's and other shithole's dick by lending billions of dollars and building bridges, ports, and infrastructure via brazilian companies involved in the massive corruption schemes (Odebrecht, OAS).

If you are reading up to this point, you are wondering why I didn't mention Bolsonaro. I didn't mention him because he had absolutely no importance in our history until he started to get popular (I think it started in 2014) by starting a crusade against gender ideology and our left-wing politicians who absolutely love criminals. His popularity skyrocketed since 2016, but no one believed he would be able to win a presidential election since he had no allies from the biggest and most influential politicians.

He's genuinely right-wing and conservative. He doesn't like abortion, gender ideology, and being lenient with violent criminals, that's why lefties hate him. Also, he's a retired army captain, and a declared a fan of Colonel Ustra (who tortured many commies in the military regime). That's why lefties fear him.

Trade tactic that will give you 80% of wining chance per trade

Trade tactic that will give you 80% of wining chance per trade
What if i told you that you can check exchange once a day make 5-6 trades per year and make stable growth with few simple rules.
Forget about day tradingDon't act based on feeling, always wait candle to closeFollow general trendNever use margin to compensate previous bad tradeForget about japanese candles Heiken Ashi chart will give you better picture.
Crypto is so frustrating... Its fucking seductive, it's addictive. Worst thing you people can do is to trade by guessing, following intuition, wishful thinking etc., fuck that, believe me, i opend bitfinex acc only because of iota listing, i didn't buy immediately, i knew that after 0.60 listing there will be dump, so i bought on .49 my first 800MI and the plan was i will sell on .80 but iota keeps falling more and more (Most of cryptos, not only IOTA) when it hit .30 i sold some btc and bought 3300 more iota, the plan was that i buy after every 50% but i honestly didnt believe that it can fall much more, in that time slack was on fire, few people were announcing next trades, they were margin shorting i cant remember the nicknames but i remember one guy was shorting for 10 minutes few times a day and usually he would tell us in advance on slack channel to be prepared and he made few K USD for that time, he was sayng that every day he's shorting just enough to have for restaurant and pocket money . I said to my self if one guy can move fucking market down for few cents with that ease than crypto is most fucked up market for investments, way before crypto freak show i was earning money on forex, and after initial loss of few thousands i finally learned to trade with profit, i payed for all beginner mistakes, looking to make huge money with no money, finding patterns on 5min chart, after bad trade make another one with bigger margin, scalping etc etc... all that stuff that doesn't work but you will not believe until you get hurt by your tactics, in other words you have to ruin some money that will teach you what you should and shoud not to do, and there is a lot of not to do in forex.
So scalping in forex is dumbest and most common beginner tactic, it can work for some time but in longrun you will lose all of initial capital. And this fucking guy is scalping with hundred thousand MI and there is no resistance to counter him, forex broker always bets against you, and the price will move in any direction where is less winners, but crypto exchanges will allow free fall, so that means you can forget swing trading on 3h 12h 1d charts, when you bet with 1d chart you will just wait more to loose money, result in longrun is disaster sooner or later you will get rammed by negative combo.
I follow few rules and i avoid to act against them, don't ever trade based on your wishful thinking, never invest more than one fifth of planed money, you will need that money to buy cheaper, if you invest all at once based on feeling the chances are you didn't enter position at flipering moment or you are realy lucky, and than how many times in a row you think is possible to win based on luck? Not many, fuck luck!
So days were passing by and IOTA hits .20 slack channel was nuclear, every bigger price drop David was showing on slack to calm people down, and usually he was more or less successful at least on short period of time. i honestly didn't believe iota can drop much further so i fomo sold some more btc and trow in 1000usd more into iota and now i have almost 10GI and i was for first time interested in crypto project i had feeling that IOTA will change the rules, no fees, infinite scalability etc. i really started to believe more and more in project, actually first time that i didn't thinking about 7-10% gain to cashout and forget about it.
It didn't pass much time iota hits .15 David is on slack and this time he's not preaching not to worry but he said something like that price is not good indicator of project value also that if they want they can pump iota to the moon in one day and that they are now reconsidering money rising for future projects, so you could tell he also didn't believe .15 IOTA and he's also disappointed.
So now what, buy more at .15 or wait for possible .10 people were calling? I decided to wait, and of course .15 was bottom but again trying to enter on trend change is fucking impossible, in those desprete times there was quite a few people that had more than few hundreds GI that bear guy had 300000 if i remember, he was funny guy he also didn't play with margin to much, he was saying that when iota hits 1usd we will not see him again, for me that wasn't making much sense, how can you plan your cahsout on 1usd when current price is around .15 -.17 and flipering is about to start but we steel don't know that yet, and my conclusion was this fucking guy was basing his strategy on guessing, fuck that guy, fuck 99% of slack TA experts, nobody know how to trade, not single guy in that time had some previous experience in trading, so as expected few shorters got caught in flipering on wrong side, one guy lost few TI shorting, same guy that was scalping market from ca .40 he was convince we will hit .10 again based on guessing. So that bear guy indeed vanished when iota hit 1 usd, and i knew that he wasn't the smartest guy around, he decided to exit because he was guessing that 1usd is top for iota, what a lesson, expensive one but still a lesson.
I am strating to ask my self am i the only fucking guy that bets on weekly Heikin Ashi chart and i honestly believe that very few people trade that way.
People are focused on distorted picture of 3h chart and they try to find resistance/support levels it can be profitable but also frustrating, lots of time wasted for few percent if you are lucky that day, the more positions you trade the risk of bad trade increases.
People that spend more than 10 minutes per day on exchange they don't know what they are doing, does guys are still in trial and error phase.
When i witness those horrible decisions based on nothing but guessing i am happy those margin guys lost massive amounts of money and also for guys that exited prematurely because of their poor decision lots of people made money, now i understand the therm " stupid money"
When you see this chart below, you don't have to guess anything, you just follow the trend, and again people are betting few times per day sometimes in different directions, how stupid is that?
https://preview.redd.it/wajxkyw7n2z11.png?width=1334&format=png&auto=webp&s=5716d3d9c3b4107dd77afcdb42c4ad1a2185574e

I sold first time on 5.5usd 4GI, didn't follow my own tactic, but it couldn't end up better, i was renovating my apartment so i had to sell, with rest of iota i went to USDT at around 3 usd, and reenter around 1usd again etc etc, you get the picture.

Trading strategies and tips using the CND bot to maximise ROI.

Hi guys, since I have never been a good short-term trader I’d love to hear some of your tips and strategies when trading the indicators from the CND bot. I thought that if we all share our strategies and tips here we could all learn from each other and hopefully, everyone could increase their ROI. I love the fact that I don’t have to spend hours anymore to research through thousands of coins, instead, I only research the one I receive an indicator for and that has a high probability. I think Cindicator can be a great tool if used properly with a good strategy and sticking to it. But I need some inputs from you guys and improve my strategy.
Some questions might sound stupid for some people but hey we are all learning here.
So here are my questions where I’d be curious to see how you guys trade those indicators. Feel free to comment and add questions I’d really like to see a lot of different inputs from everyone. The more we share the more we all gain!
*Question 1: Weekly support level
Let’s say you receive the following indicator: “The cryptocurrency Ripple settled at $0.95320 at Bitfinex exchange at 9:00 PM UTC on Wednesday, February 21. What will be the minimum and the maximum price of XRP/USD from 12:01 AM UTC on Thursday, February 22 until 11:59 PM UTC on Wednesday, February 28? Resistance level: 1.11008 Support level: 0.81”
In that situation what would you guys do? Would you just put a buy order just above the support level? And a sell order just below the resistance level? If so how much above and below support/resistance? Can you even put a sell order on a coin that you haven’t even bought yet? Where would you put your stop loss sell order?
*Question 2:
Let’s say you receive this indicator: “The cryptocurrency ABC (ABC/USD) settled at 15 USD at 10:00 AM UTC at the Bitfinex exchange on Monday, February 19. In your opinion, will ABC/USD trade above 21 USD (+40%) at any time before March 20? Indicator: 65.0%” Note: This indicator has not yet expired, the USD value and token symbol have been changed.
Do you guys size your position depending on the probability of the indicator? When sizing your position do you take into consideration the possible gains as well?
I thought for myself of investing 1% of my investing funds for indicators between 65/70%; 2% - 70/75%; 3% - 75/80%; and so forth. What are your thoughts on this?
What target price do you guys put? I am still testing few strategies and wonder if for a better guarantee of winning it is not better to sell at +10% or +20% (in that scenario) and not risk of losing the gain just acquired since I don’t know of a crypto exchange that has a trailing stop. And where would you put your stop loss? -5%; -7%
*Question 3: Forex indicators, E-mini S&P 500 Futures, Gold Futures, WTI Crude Oil Futures
Has anyone here traded those indicators? Where do you trade them and what are your strategies around them? Do you use leverage? If so how much leverage? What % of your funds would you put in them?

Long story.. Scammed by my best friend..

Hey everyone,
This a huge story for me. It hurts me badly still and only like 2 people know the whole truth of happened to me these past few years. I didn't know this sub existed and I think getting this off my chest and let other people know might help me get perspective on what my life was and still is today. This is a throwaway account because people in my life browse Reddit.
My ex best friend
Let's name him John. I met John initially in high school. We had multiple class together. We played on the same sports team (yes I'm being purposely vague). We went to nightclubs in a lot our 20's. We studied both studied finance in different universities. We just had a lot in common. I had full trust in him since we were best friends from more than 10+ years. I am naturally someone who loves to help others so I was always there for him if he needed something. He wasn't as much and I didn't care and thought about it really at that time. Keep that in mind.
How do I know all these things you may ask yourself while reading my story.. I was a close friend at the time and I was the computer geek so I installed every computer he had, created every business domain he held and I was an administrator on those accounts. John was not knowledgeable at one particular thing and that was I.T.
The story
1ST PART:
I know it sounds stupid but we made a promise to each other when we were teenagers that we would be millionaires by age 25. We didn't know why, what, how... we could achieve such goal but we kept this idea in our heads all the time. People were mocking us and called us delusional but we didn't care.
One day.. John calls me up and tells me he is working on a big big project that could lend us the millions of dollars we promised to each other. An uncle from a mutual friend (let's call him Uncle Denis) spoke about an investment opportunity in a gold mine in 2012. John had to find 500 000$ for him to be able to be part of this project. John always had a thing to convince people and make them feel like he is the more trust worthy guy in the world. He ask me if I was interested but I had no money. He then told me that if someone I know could be interested in such a project. I call up close friends and some family members and some of them bites the bullet and invest directly through John. (Why everything had to go either through him personally or through his personal company..?)
Right here is where all my bad decisions started pilling up.
John wanted to be in the center all of this success that was about to happen. He found the 500 000$, made a ''private placement'' in this mining company that was listed on the TSX (Toronto Stock Exchange). People caught wind of what he was doing and gave him money to invest in this project. He told that this mining company was about to get bought out and we would make a lot of money. His lifestyle started to change before anything happened. Bought new clothes, bought a Mercedes Benz, new watch... you get the picture. For us, we thought that this meant, his success.. our success. The only thing is, it was only true THIS TIME. We were got all fooled later on because of this successful project. Keep in mind, he was using money to do expensive things that he couldn't afford before banking on this project.
So nobody cared because everybody made some money... including me!
One day, we all get the news. The mining company gets bought. He becomes Mr. credible + as well as Mr trustworthy! He makes 1.5 million dollar approx.
2ND PART :
John begins to pay back the money and profit to everyone but starts telling people that they could invest some of it back into his new trading platform. John had no prior knowledge on how to trade (and especially how to trade enormous accounts). Nobody knew that of course. They all just thought he was a finance expert since the mining project. He started trading forex (currencies trading).
One night he calls me like very very late to tell me he lost a lot of money. I ask him how much!? He says over 600 000$. I am utterly shocked and have no words for what just happened. He tells that he will come up with a plan and make it all back.. For a few months, he kept trading forex until he admitted he couldn't make considerable profits to repay people their money. Everyone was in the dark at that moment.
Something changed in him during that time. The feeling of losing money, to not being honest, spending the money he didn't have turned him into someone else.
John finally made an appointment to everyone who had money invested in his company to tell them the truth. (but probably not the whole truth). There was no money left and that's it. He gave people a choice which was the first step of a smart way to get out of this whole he dug himself into.
He offered a new investment opportunity. A way for everyone to get back the money he lost. So what could it be? A new mining project (just like the first time around). But what was the catch?
You had to sign a debt acknowledgment contract first. After, you had a share purchase agreement to transform his debt into shares of a new company he just opened. And just like that, he almost got rid of every debt he held to investors. Some people didn't want to initially but you know John.. he convinced everyone after a while.
3RD PART :
John moves in a new luxury condo, gets a 2nd Mercedes Benz and starts going out a lot more during that time. He continues to promote this new mining project and new people start investing. This project is trying to do almost the same thing as the first one.. but this time around Uncle Denis and him were the supposed owners of the mining titles. Not someone else. They had full control over this project. I learnt that Denis has no clue about John old debts to investor and where the money was coming from. John made everyone make cheques to him personally or to his company.. not directly in the company who holds the mining rights.
John always needed more money to keep thing afloat and to help the mining project move forward. People kept investing in him. He all told us that many buyers were interested and he was working to get the best deal possible. Let's not forget also that during that time he kept going to nightclub spending over 10 000$ a night sometimes. Again, we all thought like the first time around, his success is our success.
Now let's jump a few months in the future.
John blames that Uncle Denis is the reason no deal was made. He know this as we all receive an email from John stating that. Also stating that he did everything possible to make it work but the mining project is DEAD. He sends us all financial statements of his company in an excel sheet (WHAT A JOKE).
A close friend and myself starts calling up mining companies that were close to John project to know if they would be interested in such mining titles. We found 2 that were interested. We let John know to put them in touch but John refuses to deal. We find this very strange but we can do nothing about it.
We decide to call John to know what is happening with the project. His tone suddenly changed.. he became very with us. He told us that the project was basically dead. There is no money left. He then says that if we get into his work email again, we are dead. We asked what about Uncle Denis... and he says if he tries something, hes dead too. The conversation finishes like this to our disbelief.
We all receive an official email (all the investors) coming from John that says the project is no more. He states that he tried everything to make it happen but couldn't as he says that Uncle Denis was the one stopping the progress and wouldn't sign the buyout papers. I for a fact know that is bullshit... here's why
THE EMAILS:
I saw some unbelievable stuff in that work email. I saw excel spreadsheets of the company filled with only restaurant bills (4 months = 14000$ spent). I saw emails with lawyers saying that he owed them over 50K for all the share purchase agreement and other stuff he made us sign. but he transferred this bill to Uncle Denis (which he wasn't a part of). I saw an attached file of a paper he wrote himself which he states that he wants us to be transferred to another company to disempower himself from all the investors... and then another paper where he puts up 3 new companies which are now held by private off-shore companies (in Panama) that would be the new title holders of the project. John got in touch with the mine titles owners and he is starting the project all over again but without all the investors.
THE AFTERMATH
We filed a complaint against him to our local police station.. but they told us they couldn't do anything. We went to the AMF and spoke to a detective several times. We told her our story and brought all our evidence against him. This investigation is still on-going. John tried to sue me in small claims court over money he owed me... (what a douche) I won the case. Then I learned a month later that he filed for bankruptcy 4-5 months prior to trial. In his bankruptcy papers, there is a false address, false claims about his past & future spending and projects. John didn't include the 2 companies where the investors shares were (and money).
MYSELF
All this experience had a very negative impact on me. I was such a positive and stress free person.. and now I struggle so much with anxiety. I'm afraid of everything. I thought many time of suicide but couldn't go through with it. I lost friends that I knew since high school because of this. I lost so much money... money from my own family, close friends and myself. I live paycheck to paycheck to paycheck and have so much debt... I wish I just could go back and never met the guy.
Thank you for reading... if the made it through it. I left out some back story as I didn't want to build more of this wall of text.
I don't know if I feel better by sharing my experience... but its something I guess
If I would give any advice.. that would be : never mix friendship, family and money. If it goes bad, the price to pay is too high for the reward it might bring.
Thank you all.

Entrepreneurs, saving, investing

Greetings! I just have a few questions regarding finance and wanted to see if anyone had some input/wisdom/advice that helped them when they had similar issues. I don't expect anyone to go into detail or anything, but Im sorta lost at this point and had a feeling coming here might be helpful... So, if you decide to read & post I want to say in advance THANK YOU! I know you have better things to do with your time so I SINCERELY appreciate your time and input, I cant stress this enough.
Ill try to keep this brief but it is a few questions and they cover a broad spectrum of topics, situations and variables, Im trying to keep it as simple as possible...just "big picture" or "general idea" answers would suffice, I can fill in the details and do the leg work, I just need help being set in the right direction or frame of mind from people who have done it.

So some quick, basic info that might help you guage what kinda input to give... Im 25 years old, I am unmarried with no kids and no plans to get married or have kids. I have a longtime girlfriend but we share the same sentiment about marriage and kids ( Thank God ;p ) I live in my fathers home rent free while he spends the next few years in his RV across the states, until then I have a great opportunity to save money that would otherwise go to rent. As of this moment, I am unemployed but that will change pretty soon.... I don't have any degrees...I don't have a savings account but I opened a Stash app account where I keep money in stocks and bonds, it has around $2000 in it. I live in Boise Id, im open to moving but would prefer not to. Boise isn't a large city, theres not much opportunity here. I have no other obligations currently that would interfere with any suggestions.
With that being said, here is where I am at....

Ive always wanted to work for myself since I was young. After almost a decade in the work force its become painfully clear that its what I need to be doing. Ive also undergone a drastic mindset regarding the spending of my money, as little as 6 months ago I was spending money on WORTHLESS crap I didn't need compulsively. Maybe Ive matured, but I have been trying so hard to break this mindset, however, old habits die hard... As my thoughts have been geared more towards working for myself and saving money, Ive also thought about passive income/ investing as well.

ENTREPENEURS=> I am curious what you guys did when you first started? I have the drive, the work ethic, the intelligence and will to succeed but I fall short in the first step which is an idea...somewhere to start. Buying something and selling it? Cleaning pools? Obviously Im not going to go buy a Pizza Hut as I lack the capital so I need ideas for small scale, low overhead and expense projects that I can grow off of and branch out of...What I have done is turn my aquarium hobby into a little side income, I breed Cherry Shrimp and sell them, I am going to post on eBay and see how it goes and possibly expand on that. That's the one and only idea Ive had. Its not that I am stupid, Ive always had a high IQ and all, but I think I tend to doubt myself too much, overthink 5 steps ahead...I digress, anyway, I am great with people, Ive worked and done well in a wide range of jobs as well....I don't have to enjoy the work itself, I still care about doing the job well and helping the company so I am open to a wide range of suggestions. Desk work, sales work, whatever. Im just curious what got beginning entrepreneurs started off and how did you get and find ideas? Its this block in my head...its so stupid, I cannot come up with the initial idea. Once I do get an initial idea, its off to the races. I build off of it, make it efficient, reinvest profits, strategize how to expand, the trick is finding the idea. All the stuff I do manage to think of seems inefficient and like it wouldn't work. I hate asking for charity so I sincerely offer compensation if someone wanted to really sit down and exchange some emails and help me get on the path to success...Im realistic as well, Im not expecting someone to hand me the blueprints to a company, just advice on how to find ideas on my own.

SAVING=> I was bad with money until about 10 months ago, Id spend it as quick as I got it. On stupid shit too, wow I get mad at myself thinking about it. The problem is, despite wanting and trying to change I find myself still doing this, let me give an example to show you what I mean:
I go to PetSmart to get Cat Food. As im driving there I mentally know I don't need anything else and don't want too waste money. In and out. After years of blowing money on crap I never use its getting old, ya know? I get into the store, get the cat food and without even realizing it my brain pulls a sneaky on me, it says, "I know you wont buy anything, but lets at least look at fish while were here.". Its like it has its own agenda, it knows if it can trick me into going over, Ill end up buying fish and I do. Its ridiculous. Had a big problem with clothes for a while too, and when I was younger im ashamed to admit, pain killers :/ . Obviously, I struggle with instant gratification and compulsive buying. Has anyone else had to break this habbit? I have the desire to, a little guidance would be a blessing...a mind trick, meditation, hiding your money ( LOL ) , any weird little tips or tricks that may have helped you would be helpful!

INVESTING & PASSIVE INCOME=> I suppose this goes back to working for myself and saving combined... but I wanted to touch on it specifically... Am I trying to juggle too much? I mean, if Im trying to start off being an entrepreneur is it wise to put money into long term investment options? Should I keep my capital liquid incase I need it for investment opportunities?
What are some ways you've invested? Did you hire a broker or DIY? I installed Stash, Robin Hood and the Forex Game... Right now Im using Stash as my savings account ( It is giving me more interest than ANY checking acct haha ).
seems its better off to invest my money myself on apps, or keep it liquid for opportunities...I hope Im making sense. As you can see, I am over thinking this and wanna see what other people did/ would do in their mid 20s.
Worth mentioning that I don't do half bad investing myself...I just do Blue Chips and high dividend bonds. I really don't do anything more than a "Moderate" risk, I put my money into companies I know wont fail: Berkshire Hathaway, Boeing, Johnson&Johnson, GE, Pfizer. For me, its doing well. Im not taking big risks, Im viewing it as a savings account and I always reinvest dividends.

Basically, im just trying to get my life straight. Im also trying to develop better lifestyle habits too, not staying up late, eating healthy, drinking enough water and stuff like that. Maybe I am trying to think about too much and should just do 1 thing, problem is, IDK what that 1 thing should be!! I feel like I waited 25 years to be responsible so Im getting all the stress from trying to break years and years of slacking and bad habbits .

I don't have any friends that I can talk to about this stuff which is another area of my life I need to improve on. I am so tired of associating with unintelligent losers with no drive. Im afraid that I wasted 25 years of my life.

I know this was a mess, I apologize. Just wanna stress Im not expecting anyone to read & respond to all of this. I was just hoping someone who could relate to an area of this could share some experience they had, just a sentence or two even. The more detail the better but I realize im asking perfect strangers to spend their time to be my life coach lol.
Thank you, thank you thank you thank you.

A long story and lesson about trusting people and managing expectations

So I'm not sure I'd you guys will enjoy this story or if it will just be removed but I currently need to vent because well this happened. And I've lost alot of faith in people. If you don't feel like reading the whole thing I tried to put a TL;DR in each paragraph.
Trading- So to kindof preface the story, I am a young guy that is very interested in all things finance such as investing/trading. Because of this I got involved into the Foreign Exchange market(Forex) at the beginning of 2016 and I got very lucky going from $200 to ~$15,000 in 6 months and then unluckily went from ~$15,000 to $0 in less than a minute. So while I was trading this I still worked my normal job(military) and at this job people knew I was trading and doing quite well, they'd frequently ask where I'm at with my trading. So when I lost everything I still thought I will trade again but I'll wait until the new year of 2017. -TL;DR- 2016- Young, like finance, made alot of money, lost all of it and plan to try again.
First half of 2017- So during my trading in 2016 I had offered to alot of people at work that I would teach them or show them how to trade. At the time I really just wanted to have someone at work to talk about trading because all I really had was Reddit for Forex talk. So in 2017 I start up again and one of the Civilians I work with decides he wants to join me in trading (most military jobs have civilian slots where they do basically the same thing but get paid 2-3x more, in this case retired mil now civilian). So I help him get setup very excitedly because I finally have someone to talk about trading with he also says he will put in ~$200 to start with as well. So I think oh awesome I can teach you better since our accounts will be the same, so I trade by myself talking to let's call him Civ about trading consistently for about 3-4 weeks. One day suddenly Civ says "hey I put money into my account what are we trading today?" So obviously I'm like "awesome today I'm gonna trade this pair and I think it's a good setup" Civ says OK I put a trade in. So I go about my day and I don't see him until around the end of the day and our trade did go well, I had made about $45 on my at the time $130 account so I'm pretty happy at this point. So I see Civ and he's like super happy and this was our conversation Civ- "wow that was a good trade man" Me-"Yeah pretty good return for a day" Civ- "So how much did you make today?" Me- "I made $45 so like 40ish% pretty sweet" Civ- "man I made a little over $70,000" yes that is $70,000 Me- "....What the fuck? But how?" Civ- "well I kindof put in close to $75,000!" Me- "but even if you scaled up how did you make almost 100%?" Civ- "well I kindof just put in a trade as if I had $200,000 in the account, and then I did another one" So at this point I'm just completely blown away that he just made double what I make in a year in under 8 hours, but after the complete shock and awe wears off I'm legitimately happy for him because I helped in the trade but it definitely made my $45 feel like nothing.
So to speed this story up what I just said above actually happens about 3 more times to the point where he makes over $140,000 thanks to the trades that I let him know about. But eventually I start to seriously resent him cause his true character starts to show in a series of events. First he starts to claim the trades were all his idea never even giving me credit, second he never even thanks me for helping him make 4 times as much as I get a year. Third he Basicly tries to rub it in my face a few times throughout this mess saying things like "you should put more money in so you can make more" or "just put half you paycheck in" which is pretty much impossible considering I'm a young E3 at the time and I don't have just money to blow. And fourth he tries to throw me under the bus multiple times for things I didn't do at work. Now here comes in Dirtbags 1 and 2 these two are the worst enlisted personnel I've ever seen but are basically protected by Civ he always stands up for them to higher ups and keeps them from getting in trouble by blaming others for there mistakes and they know this(They will be important later on). There is alot of icing on the cake as far as these 3 but I'm not gonna make this story any longer than it has to be. TL;DR- Help Civ make shitloads of money, Civ shits on me and starts a Sortof witch hunt after me, no longer trade with Civ.
Civ in a nutshell- now this Summary of who Civ is isn't really important to the story(skip if ud like) but I felt a need to explain this guy so that people have an understanding of who I'm dealing with. Civ is Basicly a true narcissist he encompasses every meaning of the word. At work he chooses favourites and actively tries to ruin the careers of everyone that isn't his favourite and he's one of those people that laughs about everything he says, he does this so that he can decide based on your reaction if he wants it to be a joke or be serious since every "joke" is in a somewhat demeaning tone. He knows nothing about saving or investing in fact he actually gambles everyday via online poker or fantasy football, during football season hes openly said he gambles over $500 a day since he "wins quite frequently". He's a 45 year old man with a family and kids but he expects invites too all the house parties that people at work have and if he doesn't he has a legitimate hissy fit where I've seen him actually curse people out about how he will no longer invite anyone else to do anything with him(he doesn't do anything tho). He tries to be the guy at work thats "just so cool you gotta be friends with him" but there's a few of us who see straight through his lies and BS. TL;DR- Civ=Narcissistic man child with a gambling problem.
Second half of 2017- So I no longer really talk to Civ we talk work related stuff here and there at this point I know he's very two faced and selfish so I avoid him because I can see straight through it. In around July we have a conversation about the up and coming Crypto currencies I tell him I don't really have any idea how to judge if they will keep going up or not. Supposedly Civ buys 0.30-0.40 a Bitcoin(BTC) not sure the price he got it at. Around this time he was pestering me for trades everyday which at this point I'd lost what I put in so I was no longer trading. But when I'd tell him that he took it personally kindof as if I owe him more trades(wtf right?) So I just basically ignore his asshole tones and go about my day. Around this time Civ gets out of Forex he tells me he withdrew over $240,000. Also tells me he never told his wife he made anything and that she thinks he only has like $2,000 in the account(more signs of a gambling addiction).
FAST FORWARD to about 2-3 weeks ago- At this point I really don't care about Civ being ungrateful of all the money I've made him and in my life im getting hardcore into crypto currencies. I see BTC hit an insane high of over $18,000 and I see Civ the next day and ask about the BTC he bought he says he's still got it not paying attention to BTC at all tho so I tell him about it and how it could be a time to get out and get into something else so he says OK and that he will look into it. Next day Civ says hey I got out what should I do with it I want to keep it in Crypto, so I tell him about Litecoin and how it's cheaper and promising so he buys 55 Litecoin. (Why am I still helping this guy right? I have no idea)
FAST FORWARD to this week- Litecoin explodes to $335 a coin when Civ got in at $90 a coin so he makes about $18,000. I'm pretty happy for him because I called another good investment even tho my little $350 crypto account hardly moved, at this point I don't expect anything from Civ because I expect he's still two faced. This time I actually show him the Litecoin price at work and he's super happy and actually thanks me so I'm like wow that's surprising. But then proceeds to tell co-worker's that he did this on his own (of course). Civ then asks me what he should do now. So at this point I just think well whatever I'm used to this and I'm never getting anything out of this so what's one last investment that I give him gonna hurt right? So I tell Civ about other altcoins on Binance.com and how he needs to get a Binance account to get to them instead of his Currently Coinbase account so he is like okay cool.
NOW IT GETS FUCKING INTERESTING- so I tell Civ to get a Binance account and what Coins could be big here soon and he says he will make an account. Remember that Binance has a referral system going on and so I look into it and see that Binance would give me 50% OF WHAT HE DEPOSITS AS A REFERRAL REWARD AND IM FINALLY GONNA GET SOME SORT OF REWARD FOR ALL THE MONEY I'VE HELPED HIM MAKE AND IT WON'T COST HIM ANYTHING. It hits me like a freight train that if he uses my referral code I can get potentially $8,000 into my little coin account. I start to get excited BUT then remember who I'm dealing with so first I sent him my referral code and he says "cool no problem" then I start to think shit what if he forgets to put the code in so I text him again but this time IFU by saying
"Hey if you have any questions let me know just don't forget to put in my Referral code cause I get free BTC lol" .....TIFU by showing a narcissist how to fuck someone over....AGAIN.
So on the Binance referral page it shows you the first few letters of the person's email that used the referral and how much commission you have made from said person. Civ says he's going to make an account on Binance that night I say OK cool. That night my referral page gets one attached email that doesn't have letters I'm expecting so I'm kindof confused then I remember Civ is a 45 year old Neckbeard gamer so he likely had a wierd email address. No big deal, I see Civ next day at work and ask him how his account setup went (usually takes a few days) he says great and that DIRTBAG #2 also wants to get into crypto so he gave DB2 my referral code.
.... Wait a minute the email attached to my account was actually DB2s because the first letters are his Initials of his name no doubt about it. But I don't think this is wierd at the time I carry on through out my week.
UNTIL TODAY(Yes an actual TIFU) I see Civ at work (this is three days after he was supposed to setup his account and it still hasn't popped up on my referral list) and he says "I'm actually gonna not put money in to anything without doing research" this to me is wierd because for the last year he's made over $155,000 by literally doing no research and just listening to me. So I say cool whatever good idea. Meanwhile I'm also weirded out by how DB2 has not talked to me about crypto at all since using my referral code and he's been in this extremely happy mood lately so I'm like wtf is going on? Since I had taught DB2 Forex less than a year ago and he had the IQ of a house fly this strikes me as extremely odd compared to when I taught him last he wouldn't stop asking questions.
BUT THEN IT HIT ME today when I got home I checked my referrals again because I was still pretty excited for $8,000 and how much it will help me and my wife with Christmas this year and then seeing that he hasn't popped up on the referral list it dawned on me.
When I exposed that I would get free BTC to Civ he took it upon himself to have DB2 create an account on Binance and use my referral code so that I would think this was Civ meanwhile Civ put in DB2s referral code giving DB2 $8,000 and then he proceeds to lie to me. Going into investigative mode after calming down from an absolute rage I text DB2 knowing he literally knows Zero about crypto and my hypothesis being very very plausible I go to the weakest link directly and that's the low IQ DB2 and I start to talk to him about crypto first he says he has a Binance account with a bit of coins so I ask him what's next and he tells me he needs to get a coinbase account...... Which is Basicly the only way to put money into crypto so I ask him how he put money in before if he wasn't using coinbase and he says "I think it was Coinable.com" So I continue the conversation about crypto trying to get more of a clue of what Coins he owns he of course lists the exact list I gave Civ earlier that week . At this point I'm about 98% sure my hypothesis is correct and that I work with two of the most narcissistic people I've ever met. BUT THEN I get confirmation in the form of DB2 Being so clueless about crypto because he explains that he has "about 0.23 of BTC" which is roughly $4,000 which I know DB2 Does not have due to the fact that he recently totaled his 4th car this year.
So Civ had DB2 create an account on Binance in order to give DB2 $8,000 in free money and to avoid giving me a single dime even tho I'm the one that's helped him make over $155,000 this year and then continues to lie to me thinking that I'm to stupid to figure this out. This is the single most fucked up thing I've ever personally seen happen to someone, and of course that someone is myself.
Also to clarify the $8,000 does not come out of Civs pocket it comes out of Binances pocket as a thank you to getting people on their site so literally wouldn't cost Civ a dime.
TL;DR(FULL) I help a narcissistic piece of shit make over $155,000 in a year and he avoids giving me anything in return at all at all costs.
Now myself personally I made the mistake of putting myself in Civs shoes, you have a 21 year old guy at work that helps you make over a years salary and so I thought oh I'd totally being super appreciative and buy him lunch or maybe dgive him less than 1% of what he just earned you but this is where I really fucked up. In starting to put myself in his shoes I started to just completely resent Civ and everything about him because I started to feel like I deserve something. In the Forex community there are people who will trade your money for you or give you signals and those people can make lots of money either % returns of each trade or $ amounts for each signal. Looking back I shouldof come up with a Sortof contract after that first trade with Civ but at the time I didn't know what kindof person he really was.
I'm posting it here because it's kindof a lesson I've now learned on not to trust people to be decent to you in return when it comes to investing/trading I've learned that as you guys have probably seen or know about how certain people get extremely inflated ego when it comes to trading/investing. And if your ever in a situation where you could make someone alot of money just do yourself a favour and draft a small document of how that person should give you about 10% of what they make. That alone should tell you what you need to know about the person is how they react to signing a contract like that. Take it from a practically broke Enlisted member who just made a well off guy way more cushioned.

Forex trading through bank accounts possible/good idea?

Hi guys,
I'm thinking of doing some forex trading as a side hobby, not thinking of making much just wanted to learn through some spare change.
I've noticed Citibank don't charge any foreign exchange fees and was thinking of buying some foreign currency then converting back to AUD when it made sense to do so.
I haven't compared other banks and rates yet but before all of that I just wanted to ask you guys if this is the simplest way to try flipping foreign currency? Or is it a dumb idea because banks provide poor rates?
Also anything else I might need to consider that may make this worthwhile or stupid like high taxes, too time consuming etc?
Thanks!

So you've managed to be in the green during the years when any idiot could throw darts at a dart board for stock picks and derive gains. What happens when a bear market comes along? LOL I love my haters/doubters, why are u all so inept? I do BETTER IN BEAR MARKETS, I'M A SHORT SELLER YOU MORON! LOLOLOLOLOL.
You also manage less than $4M and only have $1M in your trading accounts right now. I wouldn't trust a lot of the people I know with more than that in their accounts for advice (and neither would they, that's why their money is managed by others). So, what exactly is it that makes you qualified to give advice for long term success for other investors to follow you? I could trade with $20 million and probly make $10-15 mil/year but then i wouldnt be able to teach which i love more.
Do you know the success rate of all of your subscribers as a whole, including the ones that didn't stick through your "program", do you have any stats? Not just the two millionaires? U can see alll my students trades, add up the profits, go fetch, Link to profit.ly
LOL I love my haters/doubters, why are u all so inept? I do BETTER IN BEAR MARKETS, I'M A SHORT SELLER YOU MORON! LOLOLOLOLOL. As a sell-side analyst who has worked on Wall Street for several years and has met analysts and portfolio managers at the largest hedge funds and investment banks in the world, I'd like to ask everyone reading this a question: would you entrust your life savings to a guy who talks like this? Do you think the people at Goldman Sachs or Third Point talk like this? The good thing is i dont manage other people's money, all i do is teach lessons i've learned over 15 years...ignore my rules at your own risk, nobody forces u to learn them...
How did that hedge fund you started work out? I was the #1 ranked short bias hedge fund for 3 years and then tried investing as i got too greedy...overall made 2%/year over 4 years, still #1 ranked in my category, see details Link to tim.ly i accept your apology for your laziness.
I do BETTER IN BEAR MARKETS. Have you traded in a bear market before? Because to me it looks like you started trading shortly after the crash. i could trade with $20 million and probly make $10-15 mil/year. Then why not put more money into your trading account, it's not like holding more than half your in assets in cash is somehow going to improve your awesome performance? but then i wouldnt be able to teach which i love more. If you love it so much, why don't you offer it at a more discounted rate than $1200/year per person? For that much money most people could buy all the best investing books on the shelves. Are yours somehow better than everyone who has come before you? As well, at $1200/year, if you only have 10k in your account, that's 12%/year. For 12% a year you could hire some of the best money managers in the world, or even for a flat rate fee, you could find at least a half-decent financial planner. What advantages do you offer over those people? u can see alll my students trades, add up the profits. After factoring in relative risk, and performance relative to the market, how does this fare? I mean if all your students at so successful why not display that front and center on your page, I'm sure it'd draw in more customers and there would be more faith in your advice. Your own success and the success of a few hand picked students isn't a lot to go on. How do you become a better sprinter, do you ask the world's fastest sprinter, or their coaches? Do you judge these coaches based on the performance of the most skilled students (who likely had an innate ability to begin with), or do you assess them based on the sustained increase in performance across the board, relative to other coaches? Generally the guy with $500k in his bank account is going to have an easier time making 1M than the guy with $5k in his account is. I'm not hating on you, I'm just asking why some of this data hasn't been gathered to show just how successful your students have been, relative to the rest of the people in the markets they've been trading in. go fetch. Are you aware of what selection bias and survivorship bias are? Also have you considered offering a full refund for people who have blown up their account after buying your books? Where do you see your investment future headed with these sizable gains so quick in your short career? Do you think your performance will compare to that of Berkshire Hathaway, or the Medallion Fund in the long term? Yes i've traded bear markets, i made my 2nd million dollars 2000-2002, u have a long comment but u didnt bother researching me so i have no time for lazy people, sorry!
In the wake of Flash Boys, if you could recreate the market to your specs how would you want it? Single exchange? No maketaker? No darks? Trading pauses? Cancel fees? No Internalization? People whine too much, i could care less about HFTs.
Why does google have more scam accusations than success stories when I search your name? Because i expose scams and those scammers spread lies...already sued one penny stock promoter and won, but their skillset is spreading misinformation on the internet so it works well to smear me...but they couldnt stop Link to tim.ly or Link to tim.ly and as i create more millionaires, more people will realize i'm 100% right...until then let the haterade flowww.
I love how so many of the people asking questions here are ~5 hour old accounts...Got a bunch of your students pumping and dumping your AMA too? I just sent the link out to everyone we dont give a crap about reddit, stupid hater.
My question keeps disappearing for some reason. ??? On a $15,000 account, what position size ($) would you risk, max, and what % gain target would you shoot for to minimize risk in partial fills/no-fills? I know this depends greatly on volume. I answered it in long before, no time for double questions.
You are quite the heartless prick. You publicly laugh at all the traders when your short brigade tanks a stock price. Has anyone recognized you in public, walked up and threatened you? Nah actually everyone who meets me is very thankful for my tireless work and EDUCATION...anyone who hates on education deserves to be poor.
Do you want to eventually settle down with a wife and have kids and get out of the spotlight?? And do you ever get tired of the fame? Of course but i never get tired of trading/teaching.

2pac or biggie? Eminem.

You're a typical lazy, inept hater, u accuse before u do research, sad.
Tim, big fan, love the instagram photos. Quick question, why not use options to position for trades (assuming they are availalbe in a particular name at all), rather than long/short? I've had problems getting margin approval (long story) even though i make six figures a year, so buying calls and puts is where im at right now. thoughts? Less serious question, "on a scale of Moses to Hitler" (Andy Samburg quote), how Jewish do you consider yourself? Favorite brand of coffee? Favorite toy? My stocks arent usually optionable, oh how i wish they were :) i dont drink coffee and no time for toys.
TIM SYKES. If you had a son or daughter, which majors would you want them to study? STEM field? Liberal arts? Other. Pic related: Link to i.imgur.com. College is useless, I'd want them to live and learn in the real world.
How was the conversation with Wolf when you guys ended the little Twitter war? What caused that whole mess? It was me probing whether he was a stock promoter or not and i'm confident that he's just a naive newbie.
Are you familiar with BullsOnWallstreet? What do you think of their trading education, chatroom, and hedgefund? Yah, nice guys but i dont know their teachings/track record, try to get them to post publicly on profitly.

Hi Tim, what advice would you give a new trader with a very small account ~$500. on the best way to grow the account over time? Focus on volatile stocks and realize my top student started with just $1500 and turned it into $1.71 million in 3 years...anything is possible if u study and work ahrd.
Tim, what is the tech analysis software you use in all of your video lessons. Is it thinkorswim? Its Etrade PRO but I don't recommend them -- I only use them as I'm superstitious and have made too many millions of dollars with them over 15 years...Otherwise I'd recommend Link to stockstotrade.co as it has great scanning/screening tools too.
Tim, as happy as I've been with my Silver sub so far, I was a day trader for four years in forex and am a bit burned out on it. But I do love swing and positional trading and have really fallen in love with options over the last six months. Right now I am thisclose to buying Tim Longterm. Do you get a lot of optional stocks in the TL program? Cool yes timlongterm has more optional stocks.
How did you become interested in the stock market? Read Link to timothysykes.com
How has your self-made wealth changed your lifestyle? Yes i live very well now :)
Where do you see yourself in five years? Depends how many millionaire students i can create.
Was trading stocks your first career choice? I never thought about careers, i just made a ton of $ when i was young and liked doing that so i wanted to do it more.
Tim, I've been a silver sub for about three weeks now and have made some nice trades and done well so far, including a sweet +13% on ARTX (would have made more if I'd waited for it to break support). But I haven't seen any of the big-spike penny pumps happening so far. How often do you see them happening? Cool, big spike penny pumps were every day in dec, jan, feb...they'll be back but u just missed the busiest season in 15 years.
How would you invest / what would you buy for $100 ? I'd buy a good sushi lunch for that amount, it's too low for stocks.
How much does it cost to become one of your students? Go look Link to timothysykes.com prices rising soon too so i'd lock in current prices for life if i were u.
I should've clarified, how much is it to become one of your millionaire challenge students? Depends, we offer different options, gotta apply and be accepted first anyway.

What do you think about forex? I just started larning about forex, because here in méxico there is not much information about penny stocks; and As i said before I want to make the amount to take you challenge. Too low odds of success for me to care.
How backed up are your email responses for trader challenge requests? And what is the difference between silver and being accepted into the challenge. And by differences i'm referring to benefits. 75,000 emails or so.
Thoughts on fspm? Below technical resistance so its irrelevant.
When you were growing up Tim, in your teens, did you look into the future and want to be wealthy? Was it a dream of yours to be where you are today or did you decide so much later on? Always wanted to be wealthy, thought i needed to go to a good school & get job on wall street to make it happen.
When you first started out.. How did you handle the stress when you weren't trading? I'm having some crazy up days $12k+ and then when I make a shitty trade and lose $3k I wanna throw something... No stress if u stick to rules...i didnt have rules at first and that was stressful...i didnt have a mentor either...luckily for u with me in the picture u now have both :)
Dear Tim, I have a dream of making an automated trading machine out of your system, I have experience and the trading floor access. In your opinion, why shouldn't it work ? (I can automate: market research, stock picks, technical indicators, risk management, money management etc.) Do it up, i'm sure it would work I just havent had the time and I'm more interested in teaching people to be self-sufficient.
When did you start trading? Go read Link to timothysykes.com and stop being so lazy.
Would you accept a deal to start being your student? I sent an email but i'd like to know what do you think, if the answer is not, it's ok; but i want to know what do you think; No time for deals, only looking for dedicated students.
Any plans to expand the conference / speaking opportunities for you and your other gurus? I loved the Vegas event and think there is a large opportunity for smaller, regional Saturday events. Thoughts? Ha nah in person events are a biatch, focus on online teaching is better.
I have to ask how often do you check twitter for hot news/tips? Also have you heard of Mark Gomes he is more like long term investor. I can't do margin on my ira so lose out on a lot of opportunities when trading. Gotta let the funds settle. I could care less about news/tips, I'm ALWAYS searching for good patterns though.
Amazing call on artx I'm now number 1 in my finance class stock game Nice!
I'm 23 years old, looking for stock investment options. What type of stocks should I be looking at with about $500 to spend? Nothing, forget about investing with $500 and learn trading, watch these free videos Link to tim.ly
On a $15,000 account, what position size ($) would you risk, max, and what % gain target would you shoot for to minimize risk in partial fills/no-fills? I know this depends greatly on volume. I am more aggressive in my trading when my account is small, I'd use 30-50% per play but watch the play like a hawk...for example I shorted ARTX yesterday at 4.50, today it dropped to 3.90...if i had $15k I would've shorted 1,500 at 4.50 and tried to cover at 4ish today to lock in $750 profit...then rinse and repeat and gradually grow the account.
How much money do you have in your checking account right now? I dunno exactly, a few million last time I checked.
How often do you take money out of your trading account to spend? monthly, quarterly, annually or as needed? Annually.
Hey Tim I am a big follower of yours on twitter and am considering purchasing your news letter. I got lucky and got in some marijuana stock in November and pretty much didn't look at it until February when I sold. I quickly found out how lucky I was afterwards by not taking profits on other stocks I had purchased. I was looking for another 10 bagger and quickly realized how rare it is for that to happen. My question for you is what type of percentage gains do you look for before securing profit? Nice, normally i go for 10-30% gains, watch Link to tim.ly
What is the best product on your site to strictly see your stock picks? The best bang for my buck? My newsletters at Link to timothysykes.com but picks do little good without knowledge/education behind WHY I am trading them.
Last one from me. I know you say to not be long before ERs but what do you think about Facebook with their upcoming ER ? Last time they jumped $10 but with the WhatsApp acquisition their stock has fallen back to where it was before last ER. Don't guess on earnings.
You say college is useless, and I agree. What do you think should change in the education system to make it more relevant? I'm doing EXACTLY what i think more teachers and their students should be doing.
What's the douchiest thing you've ever seen? Too many characters needed, basically any Wall Street/Murray Hill party/event.
What would happen if too many people caught on to your short sale strategy? What strategy would you then adopt? I was hoping that would happen when I first got into teaching so I could get more sleep! Sadly only a few people take the time to learn...I also buy and am up 100% in 4 months in 2014 mostly buying too.
Where can I find more information about the event in Harvard? Just moved to Boston. U cant it sold out within minutes but we'll have it recorded for ya!
Thank you for the AMA and your reply. I bought your DVDs recently, but haven't finished. What ratio would you say your income is based on, trading vs. teaching? I ask because I think I would prefer teaching, but I need to learn first. So should I be learning to teach, or learning to just invest personally? Teaching vs trading is something like 10-1...the cool thing is EVERYONE wants to be rich, the sad part is not many are willing to study hard to get there.
Hey TIM, I am a Pennystocking Silver member for about 2 months now and have been trying to figure out what is the maximum size position you can take when long on a stock? How do you know when to buy 100 shares or 100,000 shares? I have been making sure not to buy more than 2% of a stocks daily trading volume, I think I heard that in one of your DVDs, is that accurate? There is no set maximum or minimum, every play is different...just gotta be comfortable and understand your risk/reward BEFORE making the trade and then stick to the rules during the trade.
Any recommendation to control overtrading? Btw I am flying all the way from Miami to Boston to be at Harvard on saturday, someday not too far I will be one of your top students :) As I say in my Link to timothysykes.com DVDs, I try to think of myself as a retired trader who only comes out of retirement for the perfect setups when I know I'll feel guilty missing...otherwise I'm retired ALL the time, understand?
In An American Hedge Fund you mention that you met a trading coach at a large hedge fund you were interviewing for. Later you said you bought all his books. Would reccommend his books/ mind sharing his name? It was Dr. Ari Kiev, sadly he died, but he's written some great books, use Google.
Besides your book that I enjoyed, do you have a few other books you would recommend? Yes go read Link to investimonials.com

Tim! Which actress do you think is the hottest? I like Scarlett Johansson a lot! (and thanks for changing my life!) Nobody can compete with my girlfriend :)
Make sure she reads that post ;) I will :)
Who would win in a fight you or superman(supertrades)? Superman, he's strong and fit, I'm overworked and out of shape.
Here's my question: What is your favourite stock? Also you should come into this chat: Link to webchat.freenode.net. It is the official unofficial chat for /wallstreetbets -- a sub which adores your trading style. Thanks for taking the time. Link to tim.ly
Hey Tim, huge fan, ive watched ALL of your DvD's expect for the how to read SEC filings. And i've been following your exact strategy for finding stock picks that you showed in your TIMfundamentals part deux DvD but i never find the same one's that you trade, for example ARTX did not come up on my watchlist. Did you change your strategy on finding stock picks? If so, what's new? Link to profit.ly
Have you ever considered world domination? Nah thats boring, my focus is world education.
I haven't read all about the challenge information yet, but how much is the amount I have to bring in ? Different for everyone first u need to apply and get accepted Link to tim.ly
Can you make a gif animation of you flying to da moon and post it every time you tell us your stock picks? Sure I'll put it on my to do list.
Tim I am I college student and I started trading this year mostly because of your story. I have bought into the company TWD (tweed marijuana inc.) Do you have any suggestions for me? Ps, they're all just haters. Cool, the companies don't matter and TWD's chart is a mess, focus on Link to tim.ly patterns.
Right on, is the Vegas conference going to be a DVD also this year or is that the video you are talking about? BTW can't wait for the conference this year hopefully its the best one yet. Nah brand new DVD going over all the basics.
I'm low on funds so more newsletters or getting equity feed? About the same price so just pick one Data is cheap, good information from newsletters is more useful, use Link to tim.ly sale while its still on.
Hey Tim, I was accepted to your challenge but was unaware about needing $7500 to begin. Any way around that? I think what you do and how you help people is great. I'm guessing you have someone answering your emails so I thought this was the best way. Thanks. Gotta invest in your financial education, my program is a steal given the value of what u learn...skimp out on everything in life, but not education.
To start off, you are my biggest inspiration for trading stocks. That being said, in the future I would love to trade with you like Tim G and your other students in the Maldives or other crazy places you go. I currently trade my own strategies and am making pretty good money. Do I need to become one of your challenge students to hang out/trade with you? Yup Link to tim.ly students get first dibs on everything.

What do you think about the wild west of cannabis stock trading and do you think that it stands apart from the internet .com boom since it is ACTUAL product as opposed to a dozen guys in an office? Are they good for long term investments aside from possible law retractions being an obvious danger? Just the latest stock market sector craze, little different from nanotechs, 3d printing oil, gold, ethanol, alternative energy...pump and dump, NOT longterm holds.
How long will your 60% off newsletter be on? I want to buy it but my money is locked up in the market and will take about a week for me to have enough to get it. tia Just a few days more we cant have Link to tim.ly sale last forever!
Thanks for doing your AMA Tim! I currently am a TimAlerts subscriber and saving money to start trading some day as a (succesfull) European student of yours. I saw you are going to speak at Harvard in a few days, will there be a video of it afterwards? Cool yes my Harvard speech will be recorded!
Why are they not longterm holds? because its the early stages of the industries development? Theyre mostly scams and pump and dumps, development my ass LOL.
Any plans on doing a seminar anywhere on the West Coast some time soon? Yes hit up Link to timothysykes.com to be added to the earlybird list.

Is e-gear hard to drive? I have a automatic setup on my cayman s. Nah its easy.
Can you annotate a chart of any instrument with price action or indicators? Yes.
Tim, you have mentioned you have students from outside the US. Have you recommended them any brokers in particular or do you happen to know witch they use? Trading the OTC seems to be a common problem for us folks outside the US. Any input on this would be appreciated. My preferred Link to tim.ly all accept international customers.
Hi Tim, NEWBIE. What brokerage account do you recommend? Thanks Read Link to tim.ly
Actually didn't know that. Thank you for your time Tim. YES!
Can my girlfriend borrow $500 to adopt her dog? Nope.
Hey Tim, I am a Pennystocking Silver subscriber and newbie to trading, and have been studying your teachings for about a month. Thank you for doing this AMA. In your book you say that the most valuable classes you took in college were micro and macro economics. I am an econ major and am curious as to how you apply econ theory to trading. Why do you value those classes so much, and what is the most important economic concept you apply to trading? Cool always important to know supply/demand, that basically sums up all of penny stocks.

In the beginning of February I opened an account with Kruger Exchange and deposited £250 on their trading platform. I instantly received a call from one of their brokers called Michelle Suchi to introduce the company and say that I could not make any money with £250 but that if I opened a premium account she could trade with me and make big profits. This stupid account manager went quiet as he know he was in the wrong. IN my whole life i have not seen a company as stupid, thick and unprofessional as LDN EXchange or London Option Exchange . HIGHLY RECOMMEND to stay away from this stupid sexed up company.
